Journeying to the Southwest to purchase Native American art for her family's successful New York store, Sarah Friedman is stranded by car troubles on a Navajo reservation near the home of reclusive artist Ben Lonefeather, but as their relationship gradually evolves into love, it is tested by cultural differences, separation, duty, independence, and other challenges.
