It is a true story-my story, and the story of the one person who changed it.\ \ She was someone I admired, trusted, cared for, and imagined a future with. I shared my past with her, lived countless moments in the present, and hoped for a tomorrow that never arrived. Life, however, had other plans.\ \ She loves reading. Yet she often forgets the little moments that make a story worth remembering. I do not. I remember almost everything-the words, the silences, the laughter, the promises, and even the things left unsaid.\ \ Perhaps that is why I wrote this book.\ \ These pages are a collection of memories we created together, along with the feelings I never found the courage, opportunity, or timing to express. Other than the names used herein, everything is true to the best of my knowledge and memory.\ \ I shared this book with her first. It was written for her, after all. I hoped she would read it once, twice, maybe even years from now. But she never finished it.\ \ So I leave it here.\ \ Maybe one day she will read these pages. Maybe one day she will understand what she meant to me. Or maybe she never will.\ \ This book is not written to entertain.\ \ It is a letter disguised as a book, a memory preserved against time, and a conversation that never reached its final page.\ \ If you choose to read it, read it to the end.
