This expanded Christmas issue contains articles on the farming heritage in Christmas celebrations, a travel log of a Roman holiday, the Christmas spirit in the writings of Dickens, and the Conservation Movement in agriculture. The Experimental Union article addresses creating varieties of wheat with high gluten content. The Horticulture column features an article by E. D. Smith reporting on Niagara district fruit and an outlook for fruit growers for 1912. The Poultry column contains reviews of the poultry department at Iowa Agricultural College, and O. A. C. poultry department. This issue also printed the winners of the O. A. C. Review's competition in stories, poems, cartoons, and photographs. Campus news reports faculty changes, biographies of the 4 new college organizations presidents, and the athletic results in football and track and field. The Macdonald articles are regarding the success of the Halloween masquerade, theatre night, Cosmopolitan Club dance, and women's athletics.
