This booklet provides a brief overview of current trends and progress in attaining the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) in the Arab countries at the regional and subregional levels. The upcoming full report will move beyond statistics to examine why improvements in certain subregions in the Arab region have been slow, and will make recommendations to assist countries in the Arab region to meet the MDGs by 2015.
