Descripción

In commemoration of the 50th anniversary of the first edition of the novel "Rayuela", by Julio Cortázar, 55 artists exhibited their artwork. The exhibition comprised 55 pieces created especially for the event, and inspired in the drawing that Cortázar did for the cover of the first edition. The numbered painted boxes (1-9 Earth) and 10 (Heaven) of the popular playground game of hopscotch were raffled among the 55 participating creators whose works resulted in five different hopscotches. Artists included: Vicente Rojo, Miguel Ángel Alamilla, Pablo Amor, Lorena Camarena, Alberto Castro Leñero, María Ángeles Chávez, René Freire, Claudia Gallegos, Vanessa García, Manuela Generali, Tomás Gómez Robledo, Sandra Pani, Santiago Rebolledo, Fernando Robles, Rodrigo Rodríguez, Pablo Rulfo, Nunik Sauret, Sebastián, Luciano Spanó, Roberto Turnbull, Reynaldo Velázquez, Gustavo Villegas, Boris Viskin, Roger von Gunten, Barry Wolfry and Ernesto Zeivy amongst others. Additionally to the five hopscotches, the exhibition presents a mosaic of images, where each artist was photographed with his work by Rogelio Cuéllar.
