Leslie Productions, Inc. present Ethel Waters in Lew Leslie's "Rhapsody in Black," a symphony of blue notes and black rhythm featuring Berry Brothers, Cecil Mack's Choir, Valaida, Dusty Fletcher and Bessie Dudley, Blue McAllister, Avis Andrews, Geneva Washinton, Eloise Uggams and Pike Davis' Continental Orchestra, lyrics and music by George Gershwin, Mann Holiner, Alberta Nichols, Dorothy Fields, Jimmy McHugh, Ken Macomber, Rosamond Johnson and Cecil Mack. Vocal arrangements for spirituals and folk songs by Cecil Mack, entire production conceived and staged by Lew Leslie. Costumes designed by Charles LeMaire and executed by Brooks Costume Company, properties by G.A. Wiedhaas.
