This is a book on the artwork produced by prisoners and ex-inmates of Her Majesty's Prison Service. The book starts with an essay on taking art teaching into prisons. It profiles ten 'insiders', discussing the difference art has made to their lives and features a gallery of artwork done by prisoners from all over the UK.
