It is a scholarly study of the Etruscan language as well as of early languages in Italy. Volume 1 addresses Etruscan language's history, grammar and alphabet. Volume 2 identifies examples of Etruscan inscriptions in Italy. Volume 3 discusses the Etruria Campana, where the majority of the Etruscans lived.
