Sixth-grader Nancy Adjei, formerly of Sierra Leone, finds friendship and acceptance at Grover Cleveland Elementary School when she joins the Double Dutch Club, a group of girls who jump rope during recess and, with Nancy's help, earn the right to participate in the state competition.
